As if founding one of Jamaica's largest and most succesful investment banks wasn't enough, Chris went on to play a critical role in the hosting of the Cricket World Cup by the West Indies.
Mr. Dehring was seconded to the WICB in 1997 to set up its commercial operations. He successfully negotiated media rights in excess of US$50 million; authored and presented the Caribbean’s successful proposal to host the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2007; and was a member of the ICC negotiating team which secured the US$550 million media rights deal with the Global Cricket Corporation – the largest rights deal in cricket’s history. |
